When was NECA established?

NECA was established in 1957.

Why was NECA established?

NECA was formed to provide a platform for private sector employers to interact with the government, labour, communities and other relevant institutions in and outside Nigeria for the purpose of promoting harmonious business environment that will engender productivity and prosperity for the benefit of all.

Is NECA a trade union?

NECA is not a trade union but a dynamic and highly respected professional body registered under the Company and Allied Matters Act 1990.

Who are the members of NECA?

NECA is made up of several micro, medium and large enterprises including multinationals. Most of them are Ordinary members while a few of them are Affiliate members. 

Do you charge membership fees? If so what rates?

Yes, we charge membership subscription fees. You can view the membership fees here.

What are the requirements for membership?

The requirements are very simple:

Membership of NECA is open to Enterprises with a minimum of 5 workers and above
The Enterprise must be a legal entity operating in Nigeria
An Employer wishing to join the Association can apply online here or download the application form and forward to: neca@neca.org.ng.
All such applications shall be proposed and seconded by Members who have duly paid their subscriptions.
