After a long stint as the Director- General of NECA , Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo retires.

Mr. Oshinowo became the Director-General on the 1st of September 1999. He has served NECA for 19years. "In the 19 years I have been at the helms of the affair of NECA, l have been very privileged to work with the most cooperative and supportive Employers anyone could hope for in the world. If the truth be told, the outstanding performance of the organisation under my watch is not as a result of what has been attributed to me as hallmarks of my tenure but more about the almost perfect context that has been created by Member-companies of NECA for my colleagues and I to blossom as we go about our daily duties. I am indeed appreciative of this rare privilege. I believe we are much stronger today as an organisation than we have ever been. We are more known as a BMO. Our impact on the socio-economic development of our nation is very evident".

Mr. Oshinowo went ahead to introduce his Successor, Mr. Timothy Olawale. Mr. Olawale he said, worked with him for 8 years and has in the last couple of years, been appropriately positioned to be the main point of interface with members in his capacity as the Director, Membership Services. Mr Oshinowo expresses his confidence in his successor: "I would like to assure you that things are bound to get much better as we move into the future in the light of the wise choice of my successor in the person of Mr. Timothy Olawale. I have no doubt in my mind that he is the man to lead NECA to the next phase of its evolution in a rapidly changing workplace and operating environment that calls for a new approach in the delivery of values to members.

In his closing remarks, he pledged his continuous support to the worthy cause of the Protection of Enterprise Rights: "As I exit the stage, I am leaving with fond memories of a very exciting and fulfilling career in NECA. I am a firm believer in free enterprise and the market economy. I will forever remain committed to the worthy cause of promoting and standing for the protection of Enterprise Rights. You will therefore always have me as an ally and can count on my support even in retirement.

A send forth cum Celebration Party was organised for the Legend, Astute Leader and Visionnaire Extraordinaire at NECA House on the 13th December 2018.

For over 60 years NECA has been the voice of business on varied and diverse issues aimed at improving the environment for enterprises to survive and flourish. Our membership cuts across all sectors of the economy and all sizes of businesses from micro to conglomerate.
The most successful brand are those who approach learning and development as a business strategy. Untrained staff can drain management resources and distract your best people from urgent and important tasks. Therefore training is imperative.
